What to send for a lace quotation

Start with a product name, style reference, artwork or clear sample photographs. Describe the garment or textile and where the lace will be attached. If you are comparing several styles, identify each one separately.

Specification checklist

State the required composition or material restrictions, target finished width, measurement method and tolerance. Include a color reference and whether a physical color sample is available. For stretch lace, describe the required direction and performance. Note pattern repeat, edge shape and sewing requirements where relevant. Mark undecided specifications as questions rather than guessing.

Quantity and packaging

Provide an estimated quantity and unit, such as metres or pieces, together with any quantity per color. State the destination country and requested packaging or labeling. Separate sample needs from the anticipated bulk order. A target delivery date is a request to be reviewed, not an agreed commitment.

Existing style or custom development?

For an existing style, ask for the current specification and sample availability. For a custom request, explain exactly what should change from the reference, such as width, pattern or color, so feasibility can be reviewed before sampling.

Request the applicable sample charges, minimum quantity, timing and quotation terms. Check the physical sample against the agreed requirements and record any revisions before approving an order.
